About Direct Trade SIDEBAR
Did you know that to have the “organic” seal on coffee, it has to contain at least 95% organic ingredients? Ingredients include all farming practices used from soil, to plant, to the final coffee bean. Although organic coffees are grown in 40 countries, the leading organic coffee farmers are in Brazil, Ethiopia, Mexico and Peru.
Coffee is an agricultural product and although it may be the same variety, the coffee beans always taste differently year-to-year. Weather fluctuations, how it’s grown, harvested, shipped, cooked, stored and brewed all play a huge part in how it tastes, no two batches of coffee ever taste exactly the same. In an effort to produce the finest cooked coffee available, we are always searching for, tasting and comparing new coffees against our favorites. We are determined to consistently source the absolute best coffee available, cook each batch to bring out its best flavor and ultimately deliver the best quality coffee to our customers.
