Elida Estate History and Family tradition-
Robert Lamastus' planted the first coffee tree in 1918 on their now famed family farm "Elida Estate Coffee Plantation". Almost a century has past and there have been 3 generations of the Lamastus family that have worked the coffee plantation, Thatcher (the grandfather), Wilford (the son) and Wilford Jr.
Elida Estate is located in Alto Quiel Boquete Panama,between 1875ft-6150ft and has consistently won many top awards in all different categories; Natural Process, Traditional Washed, Geisha Natural and Geisha Washed. In 2013, the Elida Estate Geisha won the Good Food Award in San Francisco, California!
The Elida Estate is located within the Volcan Baru National Park (VBNP) www.boquetecoffee.net/fincas.htm, a protected ecological reserve and home to many exotic plants, birds and mammals (like the tropical tiger).
