Highest grade is “SHB” meaning Strictly Hard Bean. SHB’s grow between 3900 and 5400 feet. The Select Water process is special process allowing the beans to retain more of their flavor unlike the Swiss water process. This allows us to roast the beans lighter for flavor not for color. Most decafs are roasted darker to bring out the flavors that are lost during the decaffeinating process. This coffee is an exceptionally smooth and full-bodied. With an aroma of nuts and dried herbs and a hint of a floral bouquet.
